Tottori tourist information≪Tottori Sand Dunes/Uradome coast/Mount Daisen≫
[Tottori Sand Dunes]The Tottori Sand Dunes is a vast gravel area on the coast of the Sea of Japan in Tottori City, Tottori Prefecture, and is a typical coastal sand dune. It is designated as a special protection area in Sanin Kaigan National Park, and extends 2.4km north-south and 16km east-west.It is the largest tourist dune in Japan. Depending on the four seasons, day and night, the dunes change their appearance every moment.

[Uradome coast]The Uradome coast has a magnificent sea erosion topography formed by the rough waves of the Sea of Japan. You can observe various terrains such as caves and white sand beaches.A promenade is maintained along the coastline, and you can feel the highly transparent sea up close. In addition, since a pleasure boat operates, you can see the beautiful scenery while feeling the sea breeze.

[Mount Daisen]Mount Daisen is designated as a national park and is famous as a famous peak in Japan because of its beautiful appearance. Misen,the main peak of Daisen, has an altitude of 1,709 m and is the highest peak in the Chugoku region. You can fully enjoy nature through the four seasons: fresh green from spring to summer, colored leaves in autumn, and snowy mountains in winter.Mount Daisen is a popular mountaineering spot for forest bathing and nature observation, and is a representative mountaineering spot in western Japan. Every year, the mountain climbing season begins in early June.
