Yamada Line]The Yamada Line (山田線 Yamada-sen) is a railway line in Japan operated by East Japan Railway Company. By taking the train, you can enjoy the wonderful scenery every season.

Hiraizumi/Iwate]The Hiraizumi, especially there are still temple that was built based on the concept of Buddhist thought (other garden, ruins).To go to Hiraizumi, you can comfortably arrive early by making use of the Akita Shinkansen.

Kitakami Line]The Kitakami Line is a JR East railway line that connects Kitakami Station in Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture, and Yokote Station in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture. By taking the train, you can enjoy the wonderful scenery every season.

Yakeishidake/Oshu City]Yakeishidake, the main mountain at a height of 1548m in the Yakeishi Mountains, which comprise most of the Kurikoma National Park, is Lush mountainous region blessed with lakes, virgin forest, and some 300 species of alpine plants.It is one of Japan's two hundred famous mountains.

Ootsutsumi Park/Kitakami City]Ootsutsumi Park, which is adjacent to Kitakami Sports Park, is a natural park where you can enjoy walking (walking path where Mizubasho blooms) and camping.Also, to the west of Ootsutsumi Park, there is the best swan landing site in the prefecture where more than 1000 swans fly.

Genbikei Gorge]The Iwai River, which flows from Mt. Kurikoma, erodes the huge rocks, and you can see the beauty of the valley of Genbikei for 2 km. As you stroll along the promenade, you can see different landscapes depending on the topography of the upstream and downstream. The valley attracts visitors in each of the four seasons, with cherry blossoms in the spring, fresh green trees in the summer, colored leaves in the fall, and spectacular snow scenes in the winter.

Hachimantai Aspite Line]The Hachimantai Aspite Line is a driveway with a total length of about 27 km that crosses Hachimantai. You can see Mt. Iwate and the blue lakes in the forest, and you will be impressed by the beauty of the magnificent nature unique to Hachimantai. In mid-April, a few meters of snow will remain on both sides of the road, and you can enjoy the drive while watching the snowy landscape.
